Responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination and management of the PMO processes and functions.
The role serves as a conduit for communication between project managers and the IT executives who make the strategic decisions for those projects.
The head of PMO supervises the team that provides project management support functions and administrative support to project managers.
Key responsibilities include: supporting project managers, facilitating approval for project management deliverables, and managing project management processes and project control specialists.
Responsible for establishing and running the Project Management Office with the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a ‘best-practice’ Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
This role will be three fold, firstly overseeing the portfolio of organisational projects, providing expert knowledge and support and monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status.
Skills and Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree
To be suitable for this opening you will have experience working in a bank, ideally have good understanding of corporate and retail banking.
You will have a strong finance background, backed up by a degree of relevant professional qualifications.
