Job Description

  • The chief financial officer position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
  • The CFO reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and directly assists the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. 
  • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
  • Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
  • Establishing strong Business Intelligence platform in the Group.
  • Financial governance and compliance.
  • Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Completion of a master's degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Highly analytical; strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Presentation skills.
  • 10 to 20 years of work experience.
