Job Description

Job Purpose:
  • Support business growth by launching new products.
  • Opening up profitable target segments for existing products.
  • Ensuring competitive risk acceptance criteria and enhancing existing products.
Job Context:

Internal:
  • Responsible for end-to-end process: i.e, managing all steps of new products and programs launched.
  • Achieving business targets e.g., customer acquisition targets, product positioning, market share etc.
  • Maintaining competitive product portfolio.
  • Balancing role between controlling credit risk and sales enhancement.
  • Conducting full role of coordination with specialist functions such as operations, IT and credit.
  • Anticipate new products and programs impact on bank revenues, customers, market, credit risk etc.
External:
  • Highly Competitive Market – Threat of entry of new players is very likely. Requires attention to details on all competing players.
  • Increasing Price war in the market with competitors using price reduction as a route to gain market share.
  • Regulatory restrictions – Government may enforce and regulate various aspects of leasing such as changing debit burden ration (DBR), tenor etc… effecting the growth of business.
  • Sharia’s compliance guidelines.
  • High expectation of customers for prices and services.
Accountabilities / Deliverable:

Financial:
  • Prepare business / financial plans for all the strategic products and businesses.
  • Increase market share by developing profitable new products, reviewing and enhancing existing products.
  • Ensure products are of low cost and high value.
  • Budget and manage new product expenses.
Customer:
  • Identify and address customer needs and expectations and ensure products services and programs are developed to meet all target segments different levels.
  • Understand customer behavior through monitoring campaign results and take corrective measures accordingly.
  • Build healthy working relationship with key partners.
  • Develop and implement programs and efforts that offer added value to the customers in order to increase their loyalty.
Internal Processes:
  • Prepare concept paper outlining product definition and design, peculiarities, target market and customers, competitive strength and competition strategy, product positioning research result, system requirements, credit policy, criteria, procedures, terms and conditions, risk and business case.
  • Draw up a detailed project plan related to the products. Co-ordinate the efforts and involvement of various business units.
  • Research and develop new products and ensure innovativeness and competitiveness an all products developed,
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns in alignment with  Marketing unit.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new products and manage running pilot scheme for them.
  • Manage the preparation and communication of new products brief and summary.
  • Ensure all business products and programs are comply the Bank standards and regulations.
People:
  • Improve team’s performance and motivation through coaching, training and providing opportunities for development.
  • Identify and lead own learning and improvement.

Desired Profile

Education:
  • University Degree preferably in business management discipline.
Experience:
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in consumer finance business with special emphasis on Project and Product Management.
  • Awareness local and inteational leasing lending business including markets, products, operations, marketing communication, advertising, promotion and loyalty programs.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Communication skills

  • Knowledge of segmentation techniques.
  • People Management skills.
  • PC literate, at least MS package level.
  • Possess strategic product planning
  • Bilingual (Arabic and English)
  • Deadline oriented and works autonomously well under pressure.

Ability to conceptualize new ideas, research new ideas and analyze them from market and finance standpoint.
