Product Development Manager - Financial Supermarket - Doha, Qatar - GulfBankers Executive Search

Job Objectives:

The Product Development Manager for the financial supermarket specializes in the finding, planning and development of salient customer oriented products and services aligned with a meticulous understanding of the customer behavior through daily encounter. The product development Manager will be responsible of the visual merchandising aspect and the promotion implementation and communication.�
As a Product Manager he will have to contribute to the success of the project by defining the tactical and strategic direction of product lines within each category in accordance with the retail product calendars.

Responsibilities:

Creates and manages financial operating category plan.
Creates positioning strategy for category based on competitive and market-place strategic assessment.�
Leverages understanding of competitive market-place to project potential threats to category creating positioning strategy for product categories.�
Manages the product lines through their life-cycles: core, seasonal and promotional.
Leads the development of new product concepts from conception through implementation.�
Build proactive working relationships with all areas of the business especially in-store management.
To encourage a creative approach to product presentation in store and maintain excellence and a market leadership that enables market differentiation, keeping up to date and ahead of the competition.�
Communicate and arrange any fixture changes needed in advance and arrange execution of changes with maintenance or external contractors.�
To record and track store creative inventories; fixtures, signage, furniture & framed artwork.

Business Degree.
5 years + Product Management experience within Retail.
Experience of sourcing and implementing new product lines.
Progressive experience of product management with P&L responsibility.
Excellent analytical skills.
He will also have the necessary skills to think strategically, work flexibly and drive change so that he can successfully identify and implement a solid strategy.
