Job Description :
  • Ensure that various internal data control mechanisms are functioning in accordance with the management objective to safeguard the Bank from financial losses.
  • Review of all manual financial transactions initiated by branches, finance Division and central operations against original supporting documents for accuracy, authenticity and compliance with banks policy & procedures.
  • Monitor Central Bank (CB) reserve requirements in liaison with Treasury & Finance.
  • Review various system generated control reports and request/recommend necessary corrective action.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and sufficiency of control reviews and revise them if necessary.
  • Evaluate the month end reconciliation and escalate unjustified, long outstanding issues for resolution.
  • Escalate any unjustified balance in suspense accounts.
  • Ensure that the various control requirements stipulated in the procedures are adhered adequately.
  • Ensure the department functions assigned are carried out effectively.
  • Ensure policies & procedures are developed and maintained for all activities of the department.
  • Ensure the staff members get trained for the functions assigned to them and create back ups.
  • Develop system/manual reports for ensuring a systematic and complete check.
  • Guide and assist checkers in carrying out the checking functions of trade related transactions.
  • Prepare discrepancy reports, update discrepancy log, obtain department Heads approval and forward to processing unit for regularization.
  • Any other control related functions/projects assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
