Job Description	:	Job Summary: Provides a full internal audit function for Bank. Prepares and implements guidelines, conducts audits as per plan and prepares audit reports for management, the Audit Committee and others as required. Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews the activities of the Bank’s business and support units and sets procedural guidelines for the Internal Audit function. Selects activities subject to auditing and assess their risk and importance, prepares audit plans for the year for all units of the Bank for submission to the Audit Committee. Conducts unit audits independently and ensures all financial policies and procedures, lending authorities, investment criteria and expenditures are strictly followed and exceptions properly approved. Identifies areas of exposure and weakness with recommendation for permanent rectification. Determines that all security and control measures prescribed by the Bank’s policies and procedures are in place and strictly implemented. Ensures effectiveness, efficiency and correctness of the audit reports to the Bank Management and summary activity to the Audit Committee. Provides satisfactory responses to audit queries including review of new policy, procedures and amendments. Attends to other relevant miscellaneous duties as assigned. Responsibilities include audit planning; assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Desired Profile	:	BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or similar relevant discipline. Preferably a member of a professional body such as SOCPA/CPA/CIA/ACA. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit auditing, ideally but not critically in a Bank environment. Proficient understanding of general and specific policies and procedures relating to banking finance. Professional accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting procedures, computer systems and network. Knowledge of applicable and relevant Regulations. Ability to read and accurately interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals and to prepare guidelines and reports. Ability to deal with complex problems thoroughly and tactfully. Proficient in Arabic and English.
