Job Description
- Delivery of the assigned targets/job responsibility in clearing department.
- Ensure the day to day work of clearing department completed on time and accurately without any exception.
- Prepare and report the MI of clearing department to the stake holders.
- All Local bill discounting process should be checked with the corporate credit document (FRS, limits and approvals); any exceptions should be reported immediately to relevant stake holders.
- Assists the clearing manager to deliver all the assigned targets of clearing department.
- Report on all the exceptions to higher management.
- To keep regular liaison with central bank to get the updates on clearing process and system changes.
- Train and assists department staff’s in all special projects / UATs to be conducted.
- Endeavour to develop the system / technical skills in clearing department.
- Work with Branches, Corporate, Retail front office, Call Centre, Service & Quality, and other related units for continuous process improvement and providing a better customer service.
- Comply and adhere to all controls, policies and procedures of clearing department.
- Initiate best practices in the unit. This would require liaising with businesses and other stake holders, to build the relationship with all the stakeholders.
- Handle and resolve all the service issues reported in clearing department and ensure all customer queries / complaints are responded within agreed turn around time.
- Adherence to Information Security Policy and all other mandatory polices of the bank.
- Adherence to attendance register, Daily checklists, RCA etc.
- Highlight any system issues or delays in clearing department / central bank to all the stakeholders.
- should be prepared and tested for all the risks and controls. All suspense accounts should be balanced and reported on a daily basis.
- Foreign currency cheques sent on collections should be checked for credits and posted promptly and any outstanding entries above 40 days is taken up immediately.
