Job Description

Job Purpose Statement:
The job involves shaping the strategy of the division by contributing to the strategic vision by providing a financial reporting platform to assist in achieving and maintaining National Champion lead bank status.

The position relies heavily on strategic thinking, tactical planning, Financial analysis, forecasting, as well as ability to influence key individuals / decision makers to determine the overall strategic direction of the Corporate Banking business.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Accurate and timely preparation and analysis of Management reports and business statistics to substantiate actual performance versus budgets and targets. 
  • Provide analytical commentary.
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Year end closing and reporting. Provide analytical commentary.
  • Annual budget process - ensure timely preparation and submission of budget for Management’s approval. Present and negotiate the budget. 
  • Manage the  enhancement of Data Warehouse & Business Objecives (BO) reports and data quality. Accountable for data integrity in the Siebel system (CRM).
  • Accountable for the management of the various Incentive Schemes.
  • Accountable for data intergrity and quality of EDWH [BO], and to escalate / manage problems in data with BICC management.
Performance Tracking and Measurement (Inputs and Outputs)
  • Lead the definition of department level performance measures and the development of business-wide and segment-specific performance targets (input and output commitments).
  • Oversee performance tracking activities against overall targets and objectives (as per marketing and business plans).
  • Oversee tracking of sales performance metrics and objectives (including Committed Common Objectives).
  • Highlight deviations in performance vs. targets are addressed by Business managers (segment and regional sales heads).
  • Ensure that highlighted gaps in service levels are addressed and initiate action to resolve issues.
  • Ensure that service levels and SLAs are adhered to and coordinate with all units and service areas where required to enforce compliance.
Coordination and General Administration
  • Coordinate and manage support to other units of the division/bank to provide as well as obtain required information. 
  • Interact with Senior Executives of the Bank in courteous and professional manner.
  • Organize and coordinate internal performance review meetings
Report Generation
  • Supervise the timely generation and quality of periodic reports to track sales and service performance for line and senior management review.
  • Supervise the timely generation and quality of ad hoc reports requested by line and senior management.
  • Coordinate with Manager- Data Warehousing and Research to ensure that CS&T systems fulfill all reporting requirements.
Other Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting process taking a hands on approach.
  • The Job holder is required to follow any additional instructions provided by his Manager within or in relation to the scope of his work.
  • Oversee development of Saudi staff with a long term perspective for the Bank.
  • Develop self through continuous learning of new standards and best practices.

Desired Profile

  • Graduate Degree in finance
  • Post graduate degree in Finance  or business administration (CFA / MBA or equivalent)
  • Systems proficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cost Accounting in the Financial sector.
  • Ability to “read between the lines”
  • Strong analytical skills (ability to analyze trends and highlight opportunities)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Minimum 7 years experience in banking (preferably Corporate Banking) with a foreign or joint venture bank in KSA or the GCC region

Key Skills

Extensive knowledge of corporate banking products and services specifically cost of funds methodology including RAROC.
