QIB introduces new services on its updated mobile banking app

 
 
Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), has announced the upgrade of its mobile banking app that allows customers to enjoy doing more and to easily meet their daily banking needs by introducing a host of new features and services.
With multiple added functionalities and an easy and fast navigation, QIB Mobile app is compatible with Apple and Android devices.
The new state-of-the-art app is designed to put the Bank’s products and services into the customer’s palm, while providing them with speed, efficiency and most importantly, security.
Starting with the logging process, instead of customers logging into their accounts with their username and password each time they open the QIB Mobile App, they can now use their fingerprints to login in one single tap.
In addition to the regular banking transactions, the new and improved QIB mobile app contains a variety of features including, simple and fast navigation, managing beneficiaries, booking a Bank visit, requesting a cheque book, a replacement or supplementary card, or even opening a fixed deposit account.
The new App has features that enable customers to have full control over their cards. They can, for the first time in Qatar, activate and deactivate their cards whenever they want, enable the use of the magnetic strip when they are travelling outside the country, and reset their cards’ PINs.
QIB Mobile App also brings customers the E-Cash service. It is a simple and secure way to send cash to friends, family, or even themselves through the mobile and can be collected at any QIB ATM. The best part is that the receiver won’t need a card to collect the money.
“In an increasingly busy world, customers are always on the lookout for solutions that are both convenient and comprehensive, allowing them to enjoy doing more of the things they love with their time. Keeping that in mind, we designed the new mobile banking app to answer their financial needs while simultaneously saving them time and effort,” said D Anand, General Manager, Personal Banking Group, at QIB.
“The banking landscape in Qatar is changing and we are proud to be one of the leaders of this new digital era,” continued Anand.
“The upgrade of the QIB mobile app is a very exciting initiative and we are committed to continuously introduce new services and features to it. The newly renovated app will enable us to significantly enhance our service to our customers and provide them with a convenient channel to access all their banking products and services anywhere, anytime, allowing them to enjoy doing more.”
QIB is working on a new Omni-Channel platform, a multi-channel strategy that allows customers to have the same banking experience across different electronic channels, in a highly secured environment.
The newly released banking app is one of the first milestones in creating this platform and will be followed by a full revamp of QIB’s Internet Banking for individuals and corporations.
