Job Description

  • To assist the business lines and support functions in developing/ updating procedures, manuals and forms in line with bank-wide standards.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Business Process, provide inputs and formulate Standard Operating Procedures for the bank. 
  • Manage the development of integrated process maps and procedure manual that would align various business and operation processes
  • Under the risk involved in the process flow and ensure that adequate controls are designed in the process maps.
  • Documenting the “as is “process, the “to be” and performing an analysis to identify the process gap and document the same.
  • Initiate and action Business Improvement / Re-engineering activities once the process maps / flowcharts have reached a base level of maturity.
  • Manage the review of issues identified by Service Quality/Risk/Audit and direct the development of corrective actions in coordination with business lines and process owners to modify/improve processes, policies and procedures.
  • Identifying and implementing best practices, performing business process assessments, mapping, documentation and process re-engineering.
  • Ensure that all SOP comply with the regulatory guidelines as well as Internal Policy Guidelines.
  • Ensure that all SOP are signed off by the stakeholders as per the agreed approval matrix and any changes / comments are incorporated without fail. 
  • Maintain the record of approval for SOP in safe custody and ensure security and confidentiality of the SOP documents. 
  • Gain buy-in and support from the process owners and senior leaders in the organisation.
  • Other tasks related to the role as and when they come up.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting, Business or equivalent
  • 5-8 years relevant experience in the banking sectors including at least 4 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
  • Islamic Banking Experience with Strong understanding of the banking products.
  • Strong Knowledge on Microsoft Office Products including MS Visio.
  • Must be Omani National
